Tornagrain Stores opened earlier this month with four members of staff, providing the town's residents with groceries, hot food and a payzone machine.
Joe Mooney of Tornagrain Stores said: "In the current situation we managed to open just in time to play a useful role to local residents and help people manage to shop close to home. We're also delighted to be supporting local suppliers with bread and rolls from Three Little Bakers; meat from A&I butchers, cheese from Connage Dairy and fresh produce from Gollanfield Farm.
"Any Tornagrain residents who are unable to go out can give us a call on 01463 217166 with their order and we will deliver."
Nicole Petrie, Tornagrain development manager, said: "We are delighted that Tornagrain Stores has now opened and is no more than a 5 minute walk for all our homeowners. It was always our intention for Tornagrain to be a fully-fledged community right from the very beginning and now more than ever a local shop is a lifeline for residents."
