With great green spaces, amenities – and of course great homes at Woolmer Copse – did you know that Bordon also likes to ‘tread the boards’ at The Phoenix theatre and arts centre on Station Road.
Based in a converted former Edwardian school, is a fabulous intimate theatre space offering a wide variety of things to see and do; the venue hosts over 100 shows a year – with something for everyone including comedy, drama, music and dance.
The Wizard of Oz is running throughout January – this traditional family film has been given a pantomime twist and is guaranteed to entertain all ages! And for those who want to see the man behind the fantastically funny BBC Lee Nelson character, award-winning comedian Simon Brodkin unleashes his funniest creation yet on our stage … himself! Join us on January 28th for an evening of comedy genius!
For adults who fancy yet another good belly laugh, visit The Phoenix on January 30th and sit back and enjoy Mark Simmons One-Linerer gig - as he steps off the TV from his recent stint on Mock The Week, and onto our stage in here in Bordon – he’s guaranteed to entertain with anecdotes aplenty.
And on January 31st award-winning musical comedy performer Hannah Brackenbury graces the stage at The Phoenix as she presents a joyful and poignant musical tribute to the late, great comedy genius Victoria Wood.
